Annie Wedekind was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, and has lived and worked in many places, from New Orleans to New York. Her first job was waitressing at Poppy’s Diner, formerly across the street from Pat O’Brien’s, and her last job was as an editor at Farrar, Straus and Giroux. She lives near Prospect Park, in Brooklyn, with her partner, the filmmaker David Teague, and their son, Henry Christopher Teague Wedekind, whose name doesn’t fit on his social security card.
Annie is the author of A Horse of Her Own, Wild Blue: The Story of a Mustang Appaloosa, and Little Prince: The Story of a Shetland Pony, all published by Feiwel and Friends.
